I will praise the Lord
and proclaim His grace.
Every day, I will remember His divine love
and meditate on it with gratitude,
my God.

When the fiery arrows of the enemy
come rushing toward me,
give me strength, my Beloved,
to stand firmly against them.
Give me new strength each day
to face every battle. 

2.
When I am traveling through the terrifying depths of the sea,
my heart may become overwhelmed with fear and sorrow.
Hold me securely in Your hands,
so that I may carry no burden or fear. 

3.
I desire to take up my cross
and follow You faithfully every day.
I wait in Your presence, O God,
and place my complete trust in You
while I live here on earth. 

4.
How long must I wait, O God,
before I reach the home
my Beloved is preparing for me?
When will my journey as a stranger and pilgrim
in this earthly world finally come to an end?
