There is rest awaiting me in the Promised Land;
the One who made the promise is faithful.
1
I do not know where He is leading me,
but I have heard His call, and I am going.
Whatever sorrow or hardship may come,
I will not turn back.
I will keep moving forward.
2
I won't look back or go back to
Where I left my things.
In the glorious land ahead,
an excellent and eternal treasure
has been prepared for me.
3
I do not want the temporary pleasures of sin.
I am willing to suffer for Jesus.
Compared with all the treasures of Egypt,
how much greater and more precious
is the privilege of bearing the reproach of Christ!
4
I will not let anything discourage my heart
as I journey through this world.
Day by day, He provides the manna I need,
and my Lord is always near me.
5
The Red Sea and the Jordan will dry up;
And the great walls of Jericho will crumble.
Nothing in this world
has the power to stop
the journey of faith.
6
My tears will be wiped away,
and all reproach will come to an end.
I will reach my home in heaven
and dwell forever in God's presence
with countless holy people.
