O treasure of love, source of my life,

Even on the path of fearful darkness,
And in times when pain overwhelms me,
There is no one but You, Lord,
In whom I can take refuge without anxiety or fear.

If You place the cup filled with sorrow
Into my hands, though I am only Your servant,
I will receive it with thanksgiving
And sing Your praises, O Lord of my life.

Even if You test me in the fire,
I will not complain, my Lord.
It is Your loving kindness toward me
That purifies me and gives me a radiance
Greater than that of gold.

When I finish my journey here on earth
And finally come into Your presence,
All my sorrow and tears
Will be transformed into shining crowns of glory.
