Jesus has bound me to Himself with cords of love.
He has united me with His cross,
And I have surrendered everything to Him.
1
I had wandered away, walking down paths filled with evil.
My feet stumbled and I fell.
But He came searching for me, gave me life,
Found me, and redeemed me.
2
The world did not even give me the husks that pigs eat.
No one came to help me.
There is no one as good as God,
And no one else could truly help me.
3
His divine presence gives me peace.
Everything else brings fear and uncertainty.
But in Christ there is joy
Without measure, without limits, and without end.
4
World, you do not need to honor or flatter me,
And you cannot win my heart.
I have no desire except to take up my cross
And follow my Master and Teacher.
5
There is no freedom like the freedom of being His servant.
There is no other freedom that compares with it.
Until my final breath,
I will serve Him,
And I will faithfully serve at His feet.
