Immanuel, born of Mary,
Our heavenly Lord and King.
1
His colour is dazzling and reddish,
Fused in a beautiful, healthy glow,
Aand he is truly a remarkable man.
2
Among ten thousand,
He stands out above them all.
He is the most excellent,
The One of surpassing goodness.
3
His head is like the finest gold,
Pure and without blemish;
His glorious head
Is like precious gold.
4
His hair is dark and beautiful,
Not pale or faded,
But deep and richly black.
5
His eyes are like doves
Beside streams of water,
Beautiful and gentle
Like doves resting near pools.
6
His eyes seem bathed in milk,
Set beautifully in their place,
7
His cheeks are like beds of fragrant spices,
And His lips are like lilies,
Dripping with sweet-smelling myrrh.
8
His hands are like rings of gold
Set with precious stones,
Pure and beautiful,
Like fine gold adorned with jewels.
9
His body is like polished ivory,
Shining with precious sapphire,
Majestic and beautifully formed.
10
His legs are like pillars of marble,
Set firmly upon bases of pure gold,
Strong, noble, and glorious.
11
His appearance is like Lebanon,
Majestic and magnificent,
Like the finest and most beautiful trees.
12
His face is wonderfully sweet;
Indeed, everything about Him is beautiful.
He is altogether lovely,
And there is none as beautiful as He.
