Meaning:
O Shulammite, come, my beloved,
lovely one, O heavenly beauty!
The sweetness of your love overflows,
making my lips sing with joy.
1
The Father separates those who belong to Him
from the ways of this world.
Therefore, according to His Word,
quickly turn away from worldly ways and people.
2
Do not seek friendship with worldly idols;
leave them and turn to the Lord.
Before Enoch was taken to Heaven,
he was recognised as a man of God.
3
The righteous ones, from Noah onward,
stood firm and fought the good fight as one.
Though this world was not worthy of them,
they possessed the riches of heaven.
4
Put away all worldly fashions, outward ornments,
hypocritical spirituality for the sake filling the belly
and the sinful practices of the gentiles
Remove and abandon every form of these things.
5
Leave behind your mother and father, land and relatives,
brothers and sisters, wife and children,
sheep, cattle, possessions,
and even your own life, without regret.
6
The desires of the eyes, the desires of the flesh,
and the pride of life—
none of these come from the Father.
They belong to this world,
and all of them will eventually pass away.
7
Come, beloved! Leave Lebanon behind
and return safely to your true homeland.
Leave behind the worldly places of pleasure and beauty—
Amana, Senir, and the peaks of Hermon.
8
When the heat of this world is finally over,
come to rest with me upon the mountain.
Leave behind the lions' dens
and the mountains inhabited by leopards,
and come, beautiful one!
9
God is preparing a divine bridal chamber for us.
We will receive this heavenly dwelling place
And will live there forever
in abundant and everlasting joy.
10
You are a garden enclosed,
a sealed fountain of living water.
In your unfailing streams of love,
may I continually be immersed
and delight forever.
