Zion, awake and arise!
The King of Salem is coming—
the gentle One, the embodiment of love.
He will come riding upon the clouds of heaven.

1. The end times are drawing near, beloved ones!
Bear witness to Jesus, who is your own Savior,
before the ruler of darkness is revealed.
Then we will enter together into the kingdom of joy.

2. The earth is trembling and being shaken;
the heavens themselves are trembling.
Your faithful people, deprived of love,
are filled with sorrow in their hearts
and are falling and struggling here and there.

3. By the strength of armies,
kingdoms are being shattered and destroyed
day after day.
But we will gain victory
not through the strength of armies,
but through the power of the Spirit.

4. Holy Church,
may your lamps shine forever
like the brightness of the sun.
When the Glorious One comes
in all His splendor,
let us go forth to meet our Beloved
and welcome Him in our very bodies.
