Seeyon sanchaary njaan yeshuvil chaari njaan
Pokunnu kurishinte paathayil
Meaning:
I am a pilgrim journeying to Zion,
I lean on Jesus as I travel
the pathway of the cross.
1
This is a journey toward heaven;
I walk not by what I see, but by faith.
When falls and trials come my way,
my Savior will hold me in His hands.
2
Nothing in this world is worthy enough for me;
so I have no sorrow, for I have true blessing in Christ.
O world, you gave my Lord a crown of thorns—
why should I care about the name or honor you give me?
3
Since a great cloud of witnesses
is standing all around me,
I will lay aside every burden and sin
and run with perseverance,
always keeping my eyes on Jesus.
4
When I think of the joy that awaits me,
and remember my Lord who endured rejection
and died for me,
I will keep going—meditating on Him, honoring Him, and serving Him.
I will never know what it means to grow weary.
5
Even though my Father may discipline me,
the beauty of His love will never grow less.
In Jesus, whose hands continually give me what is good,
my heart will find its rest.
