I long to see You, I long to see You.
I prepare myself to come into Your kingdom
And live with You forever.

Lord, I do not know the hour of Your coming;

Yet every moment I eagerly watch and wait,
Looking for the day You will appear.

I will leave behind this world filled with tears;
In the twinkling of an eye,
I will be gathered into heaven,
To the glorious city above.

When You come to receive Your bride, the Church,
What joy it will be—what indescribable joy!
When I rest against my Beloved's heart,
There will be perfect, everlasting joy.

All who have been washed in the blood of the Lamb
Will be gathered up on that glorious, joyful day.
And I too will be there,
Sharing in that great and radiant celebration.
