Athaa kelkkunnu njaan gathasamana thottathile
Paapiyenikkaay nonthalaridunna priyante shabdhamathe

3.Praana vedanayilaay paaram viarthavanaay
  En praana naayakan ullam thakarnnitha yaachana cheythidunne-

4.Dussaha vedanayal mannavaneshu thaanum
  Munnuru oozhiyil veenu paraarthichello paapi en rakshackkaayi-

5.Snehathin imba vaakkaal aashwaasam ekumavan
  Kashta samayathil aashwaasam kaanaathe vingi vilapikkunne-

6.Enneyum thanneppole maattum ee maa snehathe
  Enni enni njaan ullam niranjallaa naalum pukazhthidume-

Meaning:

Yes, I can hear it—
That voice from the Garden of Gethsemane,
The voice of my beloved Lord,
Crying out in anguish for me, a sinner.

1.
His whole body was broken,
His heart overwhelmed with sorrow.
O God above all gods,
Your Son endured such suffering for me.

2.
“Father, if it is possible,
Take this cup away from Me.
Yet not what I want,
But let Your will be done.”
With these words, He surrendered Himself completely.

3.
Overcome with the agony of death,
My Savior sweated profusely.
His heart was crushed with sorrow,
And there He pleaded with the Father
For me, His beloved.

4.
Under unbearable suffering,
Jesus, my King,
Fell to the ground three times
And prayed,
All for the salvation of a sinner like me.

5.
The One who comforts me
With words filled with love
Was Himself left without comfort
In His hour of suffering.
He groaned and cried out in deep anguish.

6.
When I think again and again
Of this immeasurable love
That transforms even someone like me,
My heart overflows with gratitude.
I will praise and glorify this love
All the days of my life.
