Meaning:

You alone are worthy of praise—
worthy of praise by all people,
worthy of praise by all in heaven.
Lord and giver of eternal life

You are worthy of praise.

You left the glory of heaven
And came into this earthly world for me,
Showing me Your overflowing mercy.

2.
You courageously carried
The terrible burden of sin and its curse.
O Son of the Most High God!

3.
Though You were infinitely rich,
You became completely poor
For me, who was poor and insignificant.

4.
You endured death on the cross,
Rose again in glory,
And defeated the one who held the power of death.

5.
May the life of Your resurrection
Fill me completely,
So that the blessing of Your new life
May shine brightly within me.

6.
When You come again,
We will be united with You.
On that day,
Nothing else will matter to us.

The hope of Your return
Is always in my heart.
I remember it with joy
And continue to praise You.
