          Sthothram cheythu vaazhthiduvaan yogynaay mattaarumilla
          Chora chinthi shudhiyaakki shaashwatha santhoshameki-

1. Ithra nalla rakshithaavinte vankrupakal nee
   Ethra nannaayanubhavichu!
   Ethra marthyer mruthyuvinna dheenaraayi theernnidunnu
   Mithramaayitteshu ninte koodeyundaayirunnello-
    
2. Dushtaraaya koottukaarumaay kazhicha kaalam
   Nashtamaayi poyathorkka nee
   Shaapayogynaaya ninne saukhyamaakki shudhanaakki
   Krooshileri jayam nedi paapi ninne veendeduthu-

Meaning:

Give thanks, O my soul, remembering His protection;
Let us continually sing and praise Him.
There is no one else worthy
To receive our thanksgiving and praise.
He shed His blood, cleansed me,
And gave me everlasting joy.

O my soul, how greatly have you experienced
The abundant grace of such a wonderful Savior!
Think of how many people have become subject to death,
Yet Jesus, your Friend,
Has always been with you and remained by your side.

2.
Remember how the years spent with wicked companions
Were wasted and have now passed away.
You, who were deserving of condemnation,
He healed and cleansed;
He went to the cross, won the victory,
And redeemed you, a sinner.
